Symi Bird List

(74 species)

The status of the following birds is intended as a guide only. Many summer visitors will also include migrants. Their breeding records are outside of my remit (except for example where it is plain for all to see such as swallows) and in any event the sensitivity of some species in terms of conservation and rarity necessitates a vague description of their whereabouts on or around Symi. It is sufficient here to record only that they have been seen on or nearby Symi.

s = summer visitor; r =resident; m = migrant; w = winter visitor; v = vagrant. (the above only applies to birds on Symi)
