Booted Eagle

I captured this booted eagle this morning flying over Horio. Not so much flying but soaring in the rising air up over the hillside and away south, eventually to Africa.

Almost certainly passing through on migration, it could have come anywhere from Ukraine to Turkey and all countries nearby. The "hand" has six fingers, although the first finger is against the second and that distinguishes it from other buzzards.

This is the more common dark morph seen here about to perform a stooped dive with its wings partially folded.
