Black Eared Wheatears

Black eared wheatears showed well today above the old village. A juvenile dutifully followed its parent around and kept low by hiding in a rock crevice.

Elsewhere on the marjoram plants that were in flower butterflies were the order of the day. Gatekeepers everywhere in profusion and blues. Again even with a good book I can't identify what blue this is, perhaps an eastern baton blue?

Cretzshmar's bunting seemed to have their mouths full too, feeding youngsters.
