Autumn on Symi

A walk through the wine presses yesterday produced lots of birds. The usual suspects of chaffinches and serins were to be seen low in the branches of cypress trees, a black redstart and high in the sky 50+ bee eaters made their presence known from their distinctive calls. A good fall of chiffchaffs showed also. At Marathouda sea squills are now in full flower and dot the landscape under the olive groves.
