All Quiet!

After two and a half days of rain I managed to take a short walk up to Ksisos in the late afternoon when eventually the sky cleared, the wind dropped and all was quiet. A party of 6 ravens were playing on the hillside and were joined by 2 rather larger very noisy ravens, possibly parents. There was lots of vertical diving, twisting and turning in the sky. A bit of upside down flying with claw grappling and finally a chase me charlie exercise through the woods. This last maneuver involved a lot of thrashing about in trees, dive bombing at high speed and copious amounts of "kronking" to each other. Great fun to watch.

Far too quick to photograph, I just caught this chap leaving the melee.

Elsewhere I came across about a hundred serins foraging around the Panormitis road just above Horio. Just a few settled on this thorn bush for a short while.

Like me I guess they where taking advantage of the dry weather.
